In Akky International Corporation, Duty Free indicates the exemption of tax such as consumption tax in Japan, and without relation with the tariff duty in overseas.

• For Duty Free procedure, the purchaser (non-resident) will present their passport to our staff, the purchase record documentation will be attached. Please bring your passport. (Copies not permitted)
• For those who have a visa status as either “Diplomatic” or “Official”, even if they have stayed in Japan more than 6 months can buy Duty Free.*
• Japanese citizens living abroad for more than 2 years and temporarily staying in Japan, can be qualified for Duty Free* purchase, presenting their passport at the time of purchase.

*Duty Free applies for non-resident travelers from overseas based on the following conditions:

1. Non-resident is for those who have been living in Japan less than 6 months. Re-entry permission is not suitable for Duty Free.
2. The total purchase amount must be more than 10,001 yen, made at the same shop and date.
3. Consumable items such as cosmetics, films and batteries cannot be treat as Duty Free goods.

1. Duty free applies for non-resident travelers from overseas to Japan for those who have purchased on the purpose of bringing the goods outside of Japan for souvenirs, based on certain conditions.
2. This applies to daily goods, except consumable goods such as cosmetics, films and batteries. The total price must be more than 10,001 yen.
3. In this case, “non-resident” is for those who have been in Japan less than 6 months. Re-entry permission is not suitable for Duty Free.

Resident, who is leaving Japan for travel and wishes to purchase Duty free products to carry with, based on the four (4) conditions* explained below these items, can be treated as Duty Free. However consumption tax temporarily needs to be paid.
For this procedure, travelers need to fill an application (export certification) at the time of purchase. This Export Certification must be presented by the traveler to the customs together with the products purchased. The customs officer will check and stamp the document and send it back to our company.
(Only the Export Certification received (stamped) by the customs will be acceptable for the tax refund.)

Required conditions

1. Product should be considered as a gift and must be ensured that those will not be brought back to Japan.
2. Products will be used outside Japan more than 2 years.
3. The cost of each product needs to be more than 10,001 yen.
4. Products purchased at our company Akky International Corporation.

Our staff will prepare the necessary documentation for duty free procedure. For amounts over 2,000 yen, bank transfer system is available. Please prepare you Japanese bank account details before your coming. If the tax refund amount is less than 2,000, it will be necessary to come to the store.

1. This only applies for ambassadors those who have tax free certification issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please show us the tax free card at the time of purchase any goods and submit the “Certificate of Tax Exemption Purchase for Foreign Establishments” filled up with the necessary information.
2. Please be noted that in tax free card, tax exemption products and minimum purchase price range is indicated.
3. For those who do not have tax free card and if their visa is either “Diplomatic” or “Official”, even he or she has stayed in Japan for more than 6 months, the products can be considered as duty free.

After purchasing any goods at our shop and if shipment service is necessary, we will overall process the duty free procedure on behalf. Please feel free to ask us any questions regarding this matter.

・In our store, foreign currencies such as USD, EUR are acceptable. We will apply the bank’s spot rate for the day for exchanging rate. Please be noted that we do not accept for only exchanging money.

Cash, travelers’ check, credit card, Japanese debit card, China Union pay card are also acceptable. Using cash and credit card together is possible. For more details, please feel free to ask our staff.

・Almost most of the products we offer in our stores come with international warranty (Please be noted that there are some exceptions.)

Products with manufacturer’s international warranty, we will handle any problem based on their policy.

For products without manufacturer’s international warranty, the purchase sheet will be the warranty. In addition, free repairing service will last until 6 months from the purchase day.
